Project Goal & Research
During the early design and development process, we need to understand the scope, client's business goal and requirements. Then we started exploring User Experience designs for the virtual event.
Business Goal
Educate and Engage existing and new customers
Demonstrate the security aspect of VMware's products.
Web Experience Goal
Focus on the Security topic for VMware's multi-cloud products.
Provide interesting and efficient user experience of curated catalogs for live sessions, demos, workshops, and on-demand video contents.
UX Design
With the understanding of the content of Security Connect, we started map out the site map and user flows, and then Wireframes
Find the Problem, Define Users, Explore Solutions
The main challenge for the virtual event is the how to help users navigate and find sessions, The targeted users for Security Connect are mostly VMware's current users and help them understand their security tools, some of the workshops will demonstrate how to use those tools, and the chat feature will allow users to ask questions directly. So curation is the key for saving user's time to navigate, the site need to curate or group sessions for different categories and purposes.
